s'mores: not just for campfires anymore
I lost 15 pounds this week. All right, no I didn’t. Actually, I slacked off over the weekend and had a lovely dinner of s’mores yesterday. I think eating s’mores for dinner is a perfect snapshot of my inherent fatty problem. Seriously, who does that? I think even the lady on Jerry Springer who eats chicken skin and mayonnaise sandwiches is like..”oh come on!” over that one.
Maybe the reason my diet (excuse me, “lifetsyle change”) has been so inconsistent lately is I seem to have forgotten that the world hates fat people. I don’t know how that could be possible, what with the constant obesity news segments, fat jokes on sitcoms and “save the fatties” weight loss intervention reality shows.
I was watching Celebrity Fit Club last night. I admit, I’m a whore for that show. I think it’s part of my masochistic streak, because the trainer guy and weigh in people on this show are grade-A cockholes.
I’m still like, happy with the progress I’ve made, but I’m stumped as to why I can’t sustain motivation longer than Monday-Friday, at best.
I still have my Punky Brewster trench coat dream to fulfill. One episode, Punky’s fat cousin came to visit. She was always eating donuts and cracking jokes, being a total stereotype. I think Punky and Cherrie said something to her about her fattiness before she went home. Then she came to visit like, a year later, and she walked in wearing this trench coat, still looking like a fatty. They all said their greetings and then she opened the trench coat and all these pillows fell out and she was thin. It was awesome, I always knew I’d have my trench coat moment some day.
Hittin’ up the gym tonight, and the s’mores are all gone, so there’s no way I can eat that for dinner again.
